From Our Flower Farm to the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show

After six months of planning, building and creating, it’s finally time to pack up and head to the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show (MIFGS) 2026.

For our flower farm in Northern NSW, this event is one of the most exciting moments of the year. It’s a chance to take a little piece of Petal and Bow Flowers, our Australian flower farm, and share it with thousands of gardeners, flower lovers and growers from across the country.

What started as inspiration from a cardboard Book Week header costume has now grown into something much bigger. That small idea has been transformed into a full replica header with a Petal and Bow Flowers twist. Building it has been a labour of love and a reflection of life on our farm, creativity, flowers and a lot of hands-on work.

This year marks the second time we will take part in Growers Avenue at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show. Growers Avenue is where around 30 flower growers from across southern Australia come together to showcase locally grown flowers from their farm.

For us, Growers Avenue is a chance to share the story behind our flowers and seeds. From sowing tiny seeds to harvesting blooms in the field. It brings us so much joy sharing and helping gardeners and other flower farmers grow their own paper daisies at home.

At Petal and Bow Flowers, we specialise in growing seasonal blooms and harvesting paper daisy seeds so gardeners can grow their own everlasting flowers at home. Our locally grown flower seeds are harvested directly from our farm and packaged to share with gardeners all around Australia.

Bringing our flowers and story to the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show allows us to share a glimpse into life on our Northern NSW flower farm and connect with gardeners who love growing flowers just as much as we do.

This year we’ll be bringing some of the best parts of our farm to Melbourne, to give you a little glimpse behind the scenes of our farm and operations. From sowing the seeds to harvesting the blooms, every part of our farm journey leads to moments like this, sharing our flowers, seeds and passion with a community that loves gardens.

If you’re visiting the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show 2026, make sure you wander through Growers Avenue and discover the incredible growers behind Australia’s locally grown flowers.

And if you’re dreaming of growing your own garden, we hope our locally grown flower seeds inspire you to grow flowers from seed and bring a little piece of our flower farm in Northern NSW into your garden.
